The Solid Waste Division is responsible for the efficient collection and handling of residential trash, recycling and greenwaste.RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION:City staff collects trash from approximately 38,500 city residents (2/3 of the City) which includes both automated and manual collection service. The Vector Control Program is responsible for providing services that eliminate and/or reduce the risk of illness caused by any organism transporting a pathogen. What that means in general terms is that we are working hard to eliminate diseases transmitted by the insects and animals around the County.
